Tool · from Chapter 8

Traffic sorter

Something scary or glowing arrived. Class before entity.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or tick is saved or sent.

The book’s classification rule: Stabilize → discriminate → interpret last. Never promote a feeling to an entity name first.

Step 1

Stabilize

What changed in my chassis in the last 24 hours?

Step 2

Discriminate

Where did it come from?
Since it arrived, has it…
…or has it

Step 3

Interpret last

Maintenance traffic repairs. Hostile traffic harvests. If it harvests while calling itself light, reclassify.

Before you name it, ask: What would falsify the entity story while keeping the phenomenology?

Feeling is not entity ID. You will misclassify. You will call maintenance hostile because it hurt, or call hostile maintenance because it flattered. Cool down. Check agency and truth after sleep. Reclassify without shame.

Four classes, one sheet

The folklore names are optional. If they bring up church trauma or carnival posters, the book says to drop them and keep the classes.

  • Hostile

    Folklore: Demons / oppression

    Degrades agency; coerces; addicts; harvests

First response Stabilize; reduce exposure; seek help; audit claims

  • Maintenance

    Folklore: Angels / grace

    Restores agency; repairs; clarifies

First response Receive; verify; refuse altar

  • Residual

    Folklore: Ghosts / hauntings

    Incomplete flush / field remainder

First response Chassis checks; humility; no séance business model

  • Human

    Folklore: Neighbors

    Primary daily load; mixed classes

First response Same sorting; ethics of send/amplify

The questions, rules and classes are from Chapter 8 of Deities & Developers, “Operating in the Mesh”. The tool weighs any harvesting sign above repair signs, following the book’s rule that traffic which harvests while calling itself light gets reclassified.
