Privacy notice

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This site is run by Michael Brennan. It is a set of information pages and does not ask you for any personal details.

What this site does not do

  • No accounts, sign-ups or forms.
  • No analytics, tracking or advertising.
  • No cookies.
  • No third-party services: fonts, images and code all come from this site, so your browser does not contact anyone else while you read it.

Your display settings

The Display menu lets you choose a light or dark theme, reduce motion and use larger text. If you change one of these, your browser stores that choice on your device (in what is called local storage) so the site remembers it next time. Only the choice itself is stored (for example “dark”), and it is never sent to us. If you leave a setting on its default (“Match system” or “Standard”), nothing is stored for it. You can also clear these at any time through your browser settings.

Because this only remembers settings you asked for, the law does not require a cookie banner for it.

The server

Like every website, the server has to receive your device’s internet (IP) address to send you the pages. The server does not keep a record of the pages you visit. If something goes wrong, a technical error log may briefly include an IP address; these logs are only used to fix problems and are overwritten automatically.

The site is hosted on a server rented from Contabo GmbH.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. In practice this site holds none. Email privacy@xb-labs.uk with any questions.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a concern, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
