Pre-flight check

Is your board quiet enough to judge a big claim right now?

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or tick is saved or sent.

Part 1

Four questions

A simple pre-flight check before any big claim, reading, prayer, or “download” interpretation

Sleep: enough, or known deficit?
Body: fed, stable, sober enough to drive a car?
Threat: performing for an audience, or actually safe?
Feed: how many outrage tabs are still open?

The book’s ruleIf two or more answers are bad, delay the cosmology. Stabilize. Then sort. That delay is not fear of truth. It is respect for instruments.

Part 2

Is this a bad SNR day?

A short “bad SNR day” recognition list helps more than a manifesto Tick any that fit right now.

Signs of a bad SNR day

The book’s ruleIf three or more fire, you are not in a download window. You are in thrash. Delay the cosmology. Run maintenance. The mesh, if it exists, can wait an hour. Your fraud risk cannot.

Both checks are from Chapter 7 of Deities & Developers, “Optimizing the Receiver”. The book also suggests keeping a one-page personal noise sheet: what raises your floor, what lowers it within an hour, and which “insights” only appear on your worst days.
